Get Your Library Card

Fill out the form below to register for your LCPL eCard. Information submitted via this form is used only for library services.

en Español

See our Borrowing Procedure for more info about card types and what you can borrow.

If you are already an LCPL cardholder, you do not need to apply for an eCard. If you do not know how to use your existing library card to access online materials, use our Ask a Librarian form or call 219 769-3541 to find out how!

More about eCards, digital borrowing, and physical borrowing:

eCards allow residents in our library district to log in and begin using library resources as soon as your application processes, even if you can't get to a branch. If you do not live in our library district, filling out this form is still the first step to getting a library subscription.

An eCard will not allow you to check out print materials or other physical items, but don't worry: you can upgrade to a regular library card by bringing in a photo ID with your current address to any of our locations. Residents of other library districts will also need to present their home library card in good standing.

Your photo ID doesn't have your address? No problem. Just bring another piece of suitable identification (see section 5: Indiana Residency) as well.

You will receive your eCard barcode via email after a pending period to validate your information. You must register with a valid email address to receive notification that your account is ready.
